About

My mom calls me Michael. Everyone else calls me Mike. I’m a writer and filmmaker from Sacramento, who calls the Bay Area home.

I get really excited about making things. From coming up with big ideas to producing them, I love each step of the process along the way. Whether it’s taking to the streets to speak with strangers, or working with a visionary director to shoot something I wrote, I’m down for anything that pushes me out of my comfort zone.

I’ve invited people to quit their day jobs to pursue a dream for prAna, hacked free wi-fi to make people talk in real life and shared Kamika’s journey to make art out of her family’s intergenerational incarceration

I’m a cheerleader for big ideas and always try to learn from those around me.

Outside of film, I love road cycling, Japanese food and my cats.
